Mulsanne

A choice of 114 exterior colours, 21 carpet colours, nine wood veneers, and 24 interior leather hides were available, as well as a choice to specify a customised colour scheme. The rear seating could be configured to accommodate either 2 or 3 passengers. A Naim Audio 2,200 watt audio system with MP3, Bluetooth, and an MMI capability was available, and in 2013 bottle coolers were introduced for rear seat passengers, able to store champagne or other beverages.

Powered by the now iconic twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre V8 engine., the 2010 Mulsanne achieved 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds, with a top speed of 184mph.

The Mulsanne offered the most refined automotive interiors in the world, with the finest hides and most exquisite veneers used throughout the cabin. Front and rear seats, door trim, armrests and switches were designed as a contemporary take on classic Bentley design. Hand-finished, unbleached and book-matched wood veneers form pure, elegant surfaces throughout the cabin. The front seats featured 14-way electrical adjustment with an easy entry and exit movement, while the back seats offer 8-way adjustment. Deep pile flat-cut carpets were handcrafted specifically for each Mulsanne.

Beneath the Mulsanne’s bonnet lay the range's 6¾ litre, twin turbocharged V8 engine which produced 506 bhp (377 kW / 513 PS) at 4,200 rpm and up to 1,020 Nm (752 lb.ft) of torque at 1,750 - 3,250 rpm. It accelerated from 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds (0 -100 km/h in 5.3 seconds) and on to a top speed of 184 mph (296 km/h).

Offering a sporting take on luxury, its rifled stainless steel tailpipes, unique 21” wheels, dark tint brightware and ‘Speed’ fender badges all added to its powerful road presence. A series of assertive styling features included a dark tint finish applied to the exterior brightware, including matrix grilles, bumper, radiator grille and 'B' wing vents. The dark tint extended to both front and rear lights. 21” Speed alloy wheels, with a dark-tint option, were Bentley's first-ever directional style wheel .

Mulsanne Speed also included interior features that further highlighted its sporting abilities. These included diamond-quilted seats and door pads, knurled gear lever and drilled alloy sports pedals. A striking sports interior colour split with perforated hide also ensure the Speed's unique place in the Mulsanne family.

To make the best use of the additional rear legroom, Bentley developed optional airline-style electronic leg rests, seamlessly integrated into the bases of the two rear seats. These extend out and pivot, giving the choice between upright, relaxed and reclined seating positions. A beautifully designed optional centre console, crafted from the finest veneer, metal, glass and leather divided the rear seats. Rear seats could also be specified with folding picnic tables. Electric privacy curtains were fitted as standard.
